Many other traffic control systems can adjust splits, offsets and cycle lengths in response to traffic data collected over several minutes or cycles and can choose a timing plan based on those past volumes. In|Sync actively handles Transit Signal Priority requests in a way that both improves transit travel time efficiency and minimizes impact to normal traffic operations. It does this through the ability to choose between several priority strategies that can be applied to a configuration. This allows In|Sync to respond to vehicles in different ways at different times of the day.

Create Corridor Coordination & Compatibility Across Agencies

Busy corridors don’t stop at city limits. In|Sync works on corridors that cross the established boundaries of multiple agencies. Even if different agencies are using different controllers or software platforms, In|Sync can coordinate all intersections in a cross-jurisdictional corridor thanks to its universal compatibility that fuses with existing hardware or software.

Detection Options that Meet Your Intersection Needs

The In|Sync Processor and algorithm works with any of the three camera options available through Rhythm Engineering — including the original In|Sync camera; In|Sync:Thermal, our thermal detection camera; and In|Sync:Fire, a heated-enclosure camera for harsh weather. Along with that, all In|Sync systems can use existing detection devices, such as loops, with the In|Sync:Fusion option.
