In|Sync Accessories

Detection Camera

In|Sync proprietary video detection uses high-performance Samsung IP digital cameras to measure lane occupancy, queue length and delay in real-time. Each camera is delivered to you ready for installation in a weatherproof enclosure, and connects to both power and Ethernet in just seconds. You have direct access to camera views and settings via the In|Sync Web UI.

Intercept (Pedestrian, EVP) Module

The Intercept Module allows In|Sync to accept non-standard detection inputs such as those from pedestrian push buttons, railroad crossings, transit system priority and emergency vehicle preemption. In|Sync can immediately serve (such as EVP) or temporarily hold the call for service, such as pedestrian calls — depending on the input type — in a way that minimizes disruptions to the progression of vehicles.

Equipment Panel

The Equipment Panel is the power and communications hub of the In|Sync system at each intersection. It provides a safe, reliable DC power supply and an Ethernet switch, both of which support the In|Sync Processor and cameras. The Equipment Panel has a number of safety mechanisms, including lightning arrestors to protect the networking equipment and a breaker block to protect the power leads to the cameras.

The Equipment Panel also includes a DIN Relay to ensure that camera power is automatically restarted in the rare event of a lock-up or power failure. By streamlining communications between the cameras and In|Sync Processor, the Equipment Panel makes sure In|Sync has the ability to instantly and quickly process detection data.

Spade Cable

The Spade Cable allows In|Sync to use information from any existing vehicle detection system. This allows monitoring of preemption signals, signal and pedestrian light state for NEMA cabinets and allows In|Sync to accommodate pedestrian signals. The cable uses minimal room in the cabinet.

ABC Y-Cable

The ABC Y-Cable is Rhythm Engineering’s custom connection between a NEMA TS1 or TS2-Type 2 traffic controller and the In|Sync Processor. Using the ABC Y-Cable makes for fast, easy, error-free installation and allows you to integrate your existing detectors with the In|Sync system.

SDLC Intercept Module

The SDLC Intercept Module is Rhythm Engineering’s custom connection between a NEMA TS1, TS2-Type 2, ATC traffic controller and the In|Sync Processor. Using the SDLC Intercept Module makes for fast, easy, error-free installation and allows you to integrate your existing detectors with the In|Sync system.

C1 Y-Cable

The C1 Y-Cable is Rhythm Engineering’s custom connection between a 170 or 2070 traffic controller and the In|Sync Processor. Using the C1 Y-Cable makes for fast, easy, error-free installation and allows you to integrate your existing detectors with the In|Sync system.

In|Time Accessories

Cable

The power/Ethernet cable contains both power and Ethernet connectors — it is divided at one end into power, common, ground and Ethernet connections; and the other end plugs directly into the camera using a 12-pin round connector. The cable contains 20-gauge wires for each leg of power (4 total) and 1 ground wire. The Ethernet cable is Cat5e and the connector on the camera end is IP69. The cable is available in multiple lengths.

General Accessories

Repeater

The repeater allows you to instantly extend your Ethernet network installation beyond its 100 meter (328 foot) limit. It uses Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for easy fitting in any location where network extension is required with no need for a power source. It works with Cat5e, Cat6 or similar network connections that use PoE power, such as cameras and wireless access points. It is housed in a tough polycarbonate enclosure to protect it from the elements and comes with an optional mounting plate. It is supplied with a PoE injector to supply both data and power to Ethernet-enabled devices through a single Ethernet cable.

Keyboard and Monitor

The monitor and keyboard set allows full monitoring and configuration of the system at the cabinet. The monitor has a resolution of up to 1024 x 768 (H x V) formatted. The standard USB keyboard comes with an integrated trackball for mouse emulation.

Universal Bracket

A heavy-duty, aluminum outdoor housing bracket that is designed to accommodate all Rhythm Engineering products. It can be used with or without a camera housing and tilts up to 90 degrees.
